does any one own a Sony VPL-HS51 Cineza LCD Front Projector and how does it work?
i am currently building a theater, my screen size will be approx. 100inches (60in. by 80in.) and am currently interested in buying this projector and would like feedback if it is a good projector.
I’m also interested in getting one for my Home Theater. After seeing the upgraded version {See bellow} in person. I notice the picture quality is really good, even for a front projector and to me, it does have a far more better performance than the Panasonic PT-EA900U {one of my choices}.
I narrowed my preference to 2, mostly based on a review by Sound & Vision Magazine, but i wasn’t going to buy it unseen. So i visit my local electronics showroom to experience The Cineza and to my satisfaction is was everything i expected. I say the performance and reliability mentioned in the review were very accurate.
There’s an upgraded version which is the VPL-HS51A with 10,000:1 Contrast Ratio instead of the original 3,000:1. The VPL-HS51A has an RJ45 Ethernet and USB 2.1 connections {1-of each} , the new VPL-HS60A model which looks exacly like the previous models.
The only difference between these two is the 60A does not offer the ethernet and USB connections. Note: That these are all 3-LCD HD-ready 720p projectors with a resolution of 1,280 X 720 and 1,200 ANSI lumens.
