How would games look on a low end projector?
I am going to buy a low end projector <1000$ at 800x600 resolution 2000:1 contrast and 2000 lumens so is this good for video games PS2, PC, and Xbox360.
And most importantly how do games look on a 800x600 projector if the room is dark?
Not all projectors are equal.Not sure which one you are planning on getting but I reccomend the infocus IN72 for about $500 or then Mitsubishi 720p HD DLP 1000h I think it’s called.I have the IN72 and it Works Great for video games,don’t let anyone steer you wrong.DLPs have less if any pixalization then LCD,if you focus is just right..they dissappear! It also has an HDMI input as well as R/G/B progressive,both look great but from what I hear HDMI looks far superior though not true HD it does the job. The downside is that some older DLPs will have the rainbow effect if you look back and forth too quicky,it looks like the images are rainbows in mid air..something about the lights/colors and mirrors inside the projector or something.Not all people see them but it’s a little distracting,you get used to it from what i hear.Other then that projectors are great!I got my screen up to 200 inches no problem.They can produce alot of heat so be wary of using them in your attic or basement.I suggest a PS3 via HDMI for movies or a dedicated HD/bluray a DVD w/upconverter at the least for the best in picuture quality for home cinema.You really can’t beat the IN72 for value imo,the mitsu is also great though pricer and a notch up.Both great.
