Un55B7000 Samsung – Best Samsung Led
Large LED TV, was looking for months at Samsung, LG and Sharp and the Samsung LED TV has the best picture by far. I went with the model 8000, because the blacks are deeper and the image popped over 6000 models. I thought I keep my TV for almost 10 years, on average, so it may even pay a few hundred to get something better. All the negatives you read about projectors and uneven backlight on my set I’m not noticing at all. E ‘was built in October 2009 and I applied the latest firmware (1013) from Samsung.
The picture is nothing short of amazing. I was discussing the 8500 model, but it seemed not worth close to a big plus for the minor difference in contrast ratio. Great TV, makes my 50 inch Sony XBR looks horrible! If you are looking at this there is nothing that should stop buying, apply the latest firmware from Samsung and rocks this set! Look around, though, we picked up this line up to $ 2400 with free shipping and no tax from an authorized dealer for Samsung and feels that price is a bargain. It would definitely buy again!
UN55B7000 Samsung – Less Than Perfect
The clarity of this TV-bright LED-backlit screen is amazing. Blu-ray HD movie off look fabulous, and HD broadcasts via satellite (DirecTV) looks absolutely fantastic. Watching a sitcom stupid, I felt like I was among the studio audience. Yes, I could almost reach and touch Sheldon Leonard, Raj. It ‘was like watching the actors through a window.
I could go on about how great this TV is, but here are a few nitpicks for true audio-videophile:
(1) AutoMotion sucks. We had this feature enabled by default smoothing out of the box, and caused stuttering frame! Stuttering frame was so badly while I was watching a sample of some shows that I started having a headache. We at first could not understand why the photo was so much stuttering, but once off AutoMotion, the stuttering ceased.
(2) LED backlight board, not from behind. When you see a black screen, you can see the backlight board. During normal viewing this installation does not care much, but for movies as dark dark Aliens, Star Wars, etc, until you turn it down or you can actually see the backlight board.
(3) Gloss is a pros and cons. The screen reflects light like crazy. You must turn off any lights or shooting behind you before you see or you will see those shards of sunlight from behind the shutters. This was not the case with our previous HDTV, its screen was just not polished, it was pretty dull-like and absorbed much more light.
