What resolution should I set my Blu-ray player?

Blu-Ray I'm playing through my Sony Bdp-S350 in my Benq W500 projector that has a maximum resolution of 720p so I wondered what the video output resolution is fixed in my Blu-ray .. 720p or 1080p. I just wanted whether there would be any difference. Oh by the way I have tried to use both these options and have not noticed any difference except for the fact that when my Blu-ray has been set 1080p is on the blink from time to time … usually only on the menu, but I have not noticed any flicker when set to 720p

The answer is, so simplistic, which approach gives the best result. You have to prove empirically and decide. Before you dismiss as useless, consider: – First, that Display (projector) can not exceed a resolution of 720p, even if entry is greater. – Secondly, if all of Sony's 720p output, is using video processor (scale) in the Blu-ray information below shows 1080p on the disc to 720p. – Thirdly, in contrast, if food 1080p Benq is direct to video processor that converts the signal to 720p. So … works best depends on the relative qualities of the processors. I suspect that any difference is marginal … but you have to judge that, since there is no clear answer, based on specifications. Note that the Benq accepts 1080p at 24, 50 or 60 fps (see link) … so it can also experiment with the output settings of the frame rate Sony re (for example, 60 or 24 fps) as well. In theory, 24 fps (native to movies on Blu-ray) should give less jitter … but not everybody likes the result (and it also depends on the shape of the display processor is responsible for the entry, screens so some work better than others. Hope this helps, not confuses.
